How To Use A Heatless Hair Curler Under 60 Minutes

If you’re like me, I like to create my curls naturally and so this Heatless Hair Curling Kit is my preferred choice compared to using a heating tool. It gives me the same results as if I were to use a curling iron. The only difference, as you already know, is the zero heat method which enables my hair to look and feel super healthy during and afterwards. It may take a little longer, but it’s so worth it. My hair isn’t dry and frizzy and I don’t need to use lots of conditioner to moisturize my split ends. The objective is similar to braiding hair, but the waves are much bigger and rounder.

How to Use the Heatless Hair Curler Kit

You first need to start with damp hair. Don’t drench your head with water. Don’t do it right out of the shower either. I’ve tried it and it doesn’t work when it’s too wet. You get the best results when your hair is already dry; then use a brush and wet it a few times and go over your hair until it is slightly damp.

The Heatless Hair Curler Kit includes the curling tube, a hair clip, and two scrunchies.

The hair clip is used to secure the long tube on top of your head. Divide your hair into two sections, then start on one side and wrap individual strands of hair around the tube just like in my video tutorial:

Make sure you wrap all your hair on one side on the tube, then do the same on the other side. Then you can remove the clip from the top of your head if it bothers you. If not, feel free to keep it on so there isn’t any wiggle room for your hair to fall out during the waiting period. This should take under 10 minutes or faster, depending on your natural speed. Leave the tube and scrunchies in your hair for about 1 hour, or until your hair is dry. The longer you keep it on, the stronger your curls stay in place without any product.

Sleeping With The Kit On The Whole Time

You are welcome to sleep with it overnight, but personally, flyaways end up coming out in every direction and my curls aren’t as effective (at least with Asian hair) since I’m a side sleeper. When you wake up and that happens, don’t fret! Just wrap your hair tightly again on the tube and wait for 1 hour, and it should give you those curls that you were expecting. It worked for me and it should work for you too! If it doesn’t, feel free to leave a comment below and offer any better suggestions.

How to Get Looser Curls With This Kit

What’s great about this kit is that you have the ability to adjust the curls however you please. If you want looser curls, wrap your hair looser. If you want wider curls, wrap your hair tighter. It’s that simple. Brushing out the curls will also give you a more voluminous effect if you’re going or a smooth wavy look. Be sure to try all the ways and let me know how it goes!

How Do I Keep My Curls In Tact For The Whole Day?

To maintain the curls that you’ve used with this kit, I suggest wrapping your hair onto the tube as tight as you can, then wait an hour or more and then add hairspray or paste right away for that extra hold. Patience is the key to great looking curls.

Is the Heatless Hair Curler Kit Better Than a Curling Iron?

Yes, it is quite different from a curling iron. No heat is used and you must have slightly damp wet hair so this tool can be the most effective. A curling iron uses heat and on dry hair. It can dry up, burn, and damage your hair if you keep it on for too long. They are two different products, but both give you similar results with curls.

Is It Comfortable to Sleep With Overnight?

Well, that depends. If you’re a light sensitive sleeper, then no. It’s not comfortable for me, in my opinion. I like putting it on during the day while I multi-task and do other things around the house. For others, it doesn’t bother them and they can sleep just fine (especially when they are used to sleeping on their back and don’t move around too much).

What happens If the Heatless Hair Curler Gets Wet?

Since it’s made out of silk fabric, the tube and scrunchies can be reused after a few minutes of drying. Wait until the tube feels stiff enough again to wrap around with your hair. The clip is made of plastic and is waterproof so it is perfectly safe and can handle wetness, hairspray, and other liquids.

Why is Heat Bad for Your Hair?

Using a curling iron and a hair dryer can add stress to your strands giving you dry and brittle hair. If you’re using a curling iron on your hair every day, your hair won’t feel the same after awhile and you will lose so much natural moisture and vitamins. A curling iron or any kind of heating tool damages your hair and can cause breakage and split ends overtime.

Will the Heatless Curling Kit Damage My Hair?

No, it will not damage your hair unless you add heat to it. It is made out of silk which is gentle enough on your hair and strong enough to resist most chemicals that it comes in contact with. This Heatless Curling Kit maintains the moisture your hair needs and helps reduce daily frizziness.

When Do I Need To Replace My Curling Kit?

It depends on how often you use it. If the tubing is still pretty stiff and not flimsy, it is still perfectly good to use. It should last a while, so don’t worry. It is only when the hair curler kit starts to look overused and can no longer maintain its original shape is when you should think about getting a new one!

How To Wash The Satin Tube and Scrunchies

Everything except the clip can be dry cleaned or hand washed. Do NOT put it in the washing machine or dryer. It can change its shape if it is not washed gently enough.

The reason I ask is because your design seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Sorry for being off-topic but I had to ask!
