If your nails are loose due to wear and tear from holes in the wood, an easy way to fix this is by filling it up with new wood. You don’t need to replace it with a big block or do any sawing.
My door frame and kitchen cabinets had loose holes around the latch and hinge area and they wouldn’t close properly, so it was time figure out a quick solution that didn’t break the bank.
Since these screw holes are so tiny, you can simply use toothpicks or skewer sticks to fill them up. Just cut them into tiny pieces, add some Gorilla wood glue, wait for an hour or so to dry, and screw the nails back in again and it should do the trick.
