Gabi James, the Spanish and Coastal French restaurant for brunch, lunch, and dinner. This place has been on our list of must-try restaurants that my friend and I planned on going to. He raved about it when he went for dinner a couple of years ago. So we made a reservation to try their brunch menu this time. Since restaurants are now opening up and reaching a bit of normalcy after the pandemic, we felt like this was the best time to go.
We were able to get a table with ample shade outside. We went during the morning hours at 11:30 AM on a Saturday and it was just starting to get busy. Immediately after sitting down, we ordered the Oxtail Hash and the Spanish Sandwich. Both were beautifully presented and very savory and delicious!
We also took advantage of the brunch bottomless mimosas. You get a 90 minute limit so we made sure to try every drink they had: Gabi Sangria, Redondo Snapper, Bourbon Buzz, and the Carajillo. Yep, we got them all and it was totally worth it!
The waiter was kind, respectful, and professional. He catered to our needs whenever we had questions. He was very knowledgeable in recommending what he thought were the best dishes and drinks.
So if you’re looking for a cute date activity or some place to eat with family or friends, you should definitely check out Gabi James located in Southern California’s South Bay. More specifically, Riviera Village in Redondo Beach, CA. Remember, you only have an hour and a half to devour your food, but the dishes do come out quickly so your time is well spent.
Indoor seating is now available. However, we still chose to sit outside because we wanted to take advantage of the perfect weather on a beautiful weekend. Your favorite pup is also welcome in the outdoor patio dining area. I must have seen at least three furry friends sitting at the tables adjacent to us.
Parking is metered, and it does get a little crowded during the day, so plan your trip wisely in case it takes a few minutes to walk to the restaurant.

History of Gabi James:
Gabbi James was established in 2018 by Guy Gabriele and his daughter Sara and husband Adam. The menu was created by chef Chris Feldmeier and Jorge Torres.
Overall, my boyfriend and I really enjoyed this experience and I can’t wait to come back and eat more. Thank you Gabi James! We will see you again real soon.
