I know, I know, why am I posting pictures of a Halloween event when it passed a few months ago? Well, because this place is still awesome and Descanso Gardens is open year-round and also during the day. I just happen to have footage and pictures of my stay here in October and I wanted to share! (And yes, I forgot to post this due to procrastination. Tsk tsk.) Apologies! But at least I finished this article finally and now you can check it out!
Ok, so welcome to Descanso Gardens, located in La Cañada Flintridge, California. If you went to the South Coast Botanic Gardens in the South Bay, you will surely like this place. Not only is it pretty when the sun is out, but there are awesome night time events too, so be sure to go with your loved ones on your free time.
When I went, there was an event called Carved, which they do every year. It was a spooky time I must say, and I was amazed at the pumpkin carvings and beautiful art decor surrounding the area. You might be able to spot unique wildlife such as birds, deer, mountain lions, bears, snakes, squirrels and more!
All ages are welcome and it’s great for date nights (or date days) and even weddings! Check out their Instagram for more pics and ideas. Also, if you get hungry, there are snack booths and a restaurant located inside the garden.
